Biography:
Stoudamire is the team’s only proven outside scoring threat and he can single-handedly keep the Wildcats in any game if his shot is on. Stoudamire showed flashes of being able to score in the lane last year and word is he’s even better at getting inside. He’s got a scoop shot that is nearly impossible to defend, and if he can get it off against bigger opponents he could really do some damage.

Not only can he stroke it from the outside, but he appears to have increased his range. Stoudamire has been routinely making it from 25 feet and if he can stretch the defense out that far it will only open up things more inside.

Stoudamire is also a great defender. Although he is just 6-1, he has the speed and ability to match-up with much bigger players. If he can avoid bad fouls he should again be counted on to be a stopper.

Stoudamire was not healthy a year ago. If he can keep out of the trainer’s office he could be in store for a very big year. Stoudamire may very well be one of the better scorers in the Pac-10.
