| Biography: |
| Adams had a real up-and-down season as a freshman, but looks to be an important player. Adams may not be a starter, but he will see a ton of minutes at shooting guard and small forward. The loss of post players will open up more playing time for Adams, who would be pushing for serious minutes anyway.
Adams has always been very athletic, but his offense has not been polished. He made a living getting to the rack and using his strength inside. Expect him to be a more well-rounded player this season. He has added a mid-range jumper and an outside shot that should at least keep defenders honest.
Adams has the potential to be one of the better defenders on the team. He has long arms and his speed is a huge asset. He was fourth on the team in steals a year ago and should improve on that number with additional minutes. He’s also a very good rebounder for a perimeter player and that skill will keep him in games.
Adams has worked hard all summer. Don’t be surprised if he is one of the most improved players on the team this season. If the jumpers fall with any consistency, then Adams could be a harrowing match-up problem for Pac-10 defenders.
