| Biography: |
| Dante Rosario hails from tiny Dayton, Oregon, which is part of the state’s 2A sports league. He’s what you might call a very big fish in a small pond. It didn’t take long for the Oregon coaches to determine that he was the real deal following his MVP performance in the linebacker position as the Oregon Football Camp June 16-20, 2002. As a senior Rosario recorded 144 tackles (75 solo) and 5 interceptions from his safety position and added 1,238 yards rushing from his running back position. This “heat-seeking missile” was honored as the state’s 2A Defensive Player of the Year. He also is athletic enough to start in the post position for the state’s defending 2A basketball champions. Rosario is ranked as a national Two-Star recruit and 89th linebacker by theInsiders.com. Rosario has received All-Region accolades by PrepStar Magazine. SuperPrep Magazine ranks Rosario as an All-American, the 38th best linebacker in the nation and the number four prospect in the state of Oregon in order of athletic and academic excellence. Dante was also selected by the Tacoma News Tribune for their “Western 100” honors. Rosario is listed as measuring 6-4 and weighing 230 pounds. He is capable of running a fast 4.6-second forty-yard dash and can power clean 250 pounds, bench press 260 pounds and squat 345 pounds. His vertical jump is 33 inches. Reportedly, Rosario holds a 3.4 GPA and is fully qualified for college with an 810 SAT score. |
