Tino has been Idaho's starting field goal kicker each of the last two years since transferring in from Chaffey Junior College as a sophomore. Currently, he is on pace to set a new University of Idaho career fieldgoal percentage record, having connected on 75% of attempts in 2007. For the season, he converted 7-of-8 attempts inside 39 yards, was 3-of-5 betweeen 40-49 yards, and 2-of-3 from 50 yards or more.
As a senior in 2008, Tino is one of three senior kickers on the Vandals team that should make the special teams units one of the best on the Idaho squad. He will be joined by four-year starting punter T.J. Conley and second-year kickoff specialist Vicente Rico for one of the best kicking units in the WAC.
