Arizona put in one of the poorer efforts of the season and paid for it on Monday.

When the game ended, it was a culmination of the pre season play for Arizona.

Disappointment, anger, and embarassment set in on the Wildcats.

BYu used a record breaking performance by Jimmer Fredette and dominated the game from the start as Arizona lost 99-69.

This is certainly not the way that the UA wanted to enter league play and the loss once again brought up many questions.

It is now apparent that every team's plan is going to be to contain Nic Wise and force another player to step up, something that they just do not seem capable of doing.

Jamelle Horne continually disappoints, as he struggles offensively and his limits become more obvious.

We know he is not the most creative player, but he needs to find other ways to score instead of dunks or forcing three pointers that the opposition has no problem letting him shoot.

There are two major holes in the lineup, at center and shooting guard, and it is difficult to believe that anybody is going to step up and fill them now.

Instead, it will likely be a problem throughout the season and once in which causes plenty of losses.

Arizona has a chance to bounce back Thursday against USC but even that seems unlikely at this point unless the UA can muster something up.
