Arizona
is set to face Central Michigan on Saturday and we will have full coverage this week.
Best Player
: This really is not much of a question, as the best player is also easily the team's MVP.
Dan LeFevour
threw for nearly 2800 yards last season and had 21 touchdowns with only six interceptions. To put it simply, if he has a bad game, Central Michigan is not winning.
LeFevour is generally considered to be one of the better quarterbacks in the country and has the ability to keep his squad in the game by keeping it on the ground.
Most explosive player
:
Antonio Brown
. Put him on a major team and people are talking about him like he is one of the best.
Last seaosn he had nearly 100 yards and nine touchdowns through the air, but may be an even better return specialist.
LeFevour is going to look for Brown early and often and most teams that CMU faced last season could not stop him.
In addition, do not look for the UA to punt to himm. Even if he does not get a touchdown off of the return, Brown is a near guarantee to put his team in very good field position.
Best Runner
: Believe it or not, it may be LeFevour. CMU is going to be playing a new running back this season and the player with the most experience happens to be the quarterback.
Ideally, Central Michigan would like to see a back emerge, but that is definitely a huge question mark going into the season opener.
Best pass rusher
:
Frank Zombo
had nine sacks last season, which is saying a lot considering he got the most attention.
CMU does not have a very good defensive line, so expect there to once again be plenty of attention on Zombo, as he tries to make the biggest impact.
Best player you've never heard of
: Junior
Nick Bellore
is probably the best linebacker in the conference.
He finished with 148 tackles last season and is the defensive leader. Bellore often makes up for the mistakes of his teammates and Arizona's blockers are definitely going to have to keep an eye on him.
