Arizona continued its dominance over Washington State, butt was an up and down game for Arizona. The Wildcats started slow, broke open the game midway in the second and then let WSU shoot their way back into it. Here are notes and stats from the WSU/UA game.

THE STREAK CONTINIUES
With the win the Wildcats extend their win streak over the Cougars to 35 games. The Wildcats last lost to Washington State in 1986.

A STREAK PT. 2
The Cougars have also lost 35 straight against ranked opponents. They are also 1-61 against top five teams. The Cougars last win against a ranked opponent was an 81-76 win over No. 17 Oregon in 1997. Their lone win against a top-5 team came in 1980, when they beat No. 4 Oregon State, 69-51.

GOOD OMEN
The last time Arizona started league play at 3-0 (99-00) they won the conference championship.

MORE MOORE
Marcus Moore, the leagues leading scorer, kept up the points barrage. Moore scored 35 points, more than half the Cougars’ points. He was an amazing 8-12 from behind the arc.

HITTING THE BOARDS
Channing Frye and Ricky Anderson both had double-doubles. Frye went for 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Anderson scored 13 and grabbed 10 rebounds.
