Arizona will be missing two players on its bench Sunday when the Wildcats take on Arizona State in Tempe.

Freshmen Garland Judkins and D.J. Shumpert have been suspended from the team for unspecified reasons, interim head coach Russ Pennell said in a release.

“Garland and D.J. have been suspended for failing to meet team obligations,” Pennell said.

Sources say that Judkins could be out for longer than one game, but Shumpert’s suspension is only expected to last a game.

It’s Judkins’ third suspension of the season and his immediate future with the team appears to be in jeopardy.
