No Surprise

Arizona lost to UCLA 83-60 at Pauley Pavillion in what was an embarrassing effort.

The Wildcats had very little chance of beating the Bruins to begin with, but letting them shoot 60 percent is ridiculous. Arizona is not even close to being in UCLA's league but seemed like it was trying to get blown out by even more than most expected it to be.

The "press" had no effect on UCLA, yet remained for the entire game. Despite the fact that the Bruins were basically jogging past it, Russ Pennell saw no reason to change it.

Why would you want to change it though? It is just ineffective and tires out the defense, but it still causes one more turnover per game. Honestly, moving away from sarcasm, the "press" is doing absolutely nothing and hurt the UA Thursday.

Jordan Hill was once again the only bright spot for the Wildcats and the season has reached a point where you feel bad for him having to play in this system. He should get the ball every time down court and each time he does not should be considered a failure.

Chase Budinger played better, but he needs help. If Wise does not play well, the UA is basically just not going to win. That happened on Thursday and the game was basically over in the first 2 minutes.

Fact is, we all saw Thursday coming and it is almost hard to be disappointed because this is what Arizona basketball is right now.
