Huge game for Wildcats

In March, when Arizona is trying to make a case to get into the NCAA Tournament, it would no doubt be very happy that it defeated Kansas in December. And should Arizona lose to Kansas tonight at McKale Center, the Wildcats will no doubt regret it later.

This is a winnable basketball game against a respectable, surefire NCAA tourney opponent. Kansas is good but not that good. I mean really, it just lost to
Temple
.
Kansas’ roster definitely isn’t scary, and if someone told you before the season that Arizona was going to lose to a team which featured
Brady Morningstar
,
Tyshawn Taylor
and
Marcus Morris
in its starting lineup, you probably would have laughed.
Arizona is currently sitting at 7-3 with a game against Weber State following Kansas. Defeat the Jayhawks and the Wildcats are at 8-3, lose and they are 7-4. Big difference for a team which desperately needs momentum heading into the Pac-10.
Kansas comes into the game ready for Arizona, no doubt. The Kansas coaches and players have expressed that in the media all week, and this game won’t be easy.
“I enjoy playing on the road,”
Cole Aldrich
said. “This is where teams get made,” Aldrich said.
“We’ve given one away, possibly two away where we should have come away with it,” added KU head coach
Bill Self
. “When you give them away, you’ve got to get it back somewhere else. That is the road and hold serve at home.”
Kansas is ready, but Arizona has more on the line. The Wildcats need to win and my prediction is they’re going to get it.
