Wideout commits to Cats

Arizona's recruiting hot streak continues. The Wildcats have added a sleeper wide receiver to the mix.

According to reports in both the Dallas Morning News and The McKinney News McKinney (TX) North receiver David Douglas has verbally committed to the Wildcats.

The 6-1, 185 pounder is a bit of a sleeper in recruiting circles but had great numbers as a junior. He had 83 catches for 1,285 yards and 13 scores. That was good enough to rank second among Dallas area Class 4A receiving leaders last season.

Douglas competed at the Arizona elite camp last month. He is the 11th known verbal commitment and the first pure wide receiver to make a pledge.

A solid student, Douglas also boasted offers from Army and Air Force.
