Love Sets Visit to Tucson

DeMarcus Love has been hearing often from Coach Mark Stoops lately. The Wildcats have offered the offensive guard prospect. Love hails from Dallas Carter which is a powerhouse program. He has three offers at this point and has scheduled his visit to Tucson.

High School: Carter

DeMarcus Love is claiming current written offers from UTEP, Kansas and Arizona. The Wildcats were the most recent offer. "My top school right now is UTEP," Love said. "Arizona is not far behind them. I am visiting UTEP on November 5th and Arizona on January 14th. Those are the only visits I have scheduled right now. Other schools I like are Kansas and Kansas State. I also have a little interest in Michigan State."

He has been speaking with Coach Stoops on a weekly basis. "He is just telling me that they really need lineman to come in and play. He thinks they can add some good muscle weight to me and get me ready to play early in my career. I am still leaning about what the school has to offer, but I like what the coaches are telling me about the program."

Love is manning the guard spot this year for Carter. "That is where I am playing this season, but I can play any position along the offensive line - it doesn't matter to me. Pulling is my strength at the position. I am also very good at pass-protection and getting to the second level of defenders."

The big man carries a 2.6 core GPA and scored a 760 on the SAT. He is taking it again in October. Love would like to major in Food and Nutrition.

Carter is 7-0 on the year and takes on Dallas Sunset, tonight. Recommended Stories
