He was practicing primarily at cornerback although he is a featured running back at San Pasquel High School. He is taking a hard look at the Cats and he already has an upscale offer.

Height: 6-0 1/2
Weight: 185
40 time: 4.7
Vertical:'31.2
From: Escondido, California
High School: San Pasquel

"Wisconsin has offered me in writing as a running back," said Sheppard. "I really like them, USC, Arizona, Washington, and Texas. I also have interest in UCLA."

He elaborates on why he likes the Wildcats. "I really like the relationship they have set-up with me. Coach Dunn is a cool guy and I enjoy speaking with him."

Craig was first team all-league and CIF as a sophomore and second team all-league as a junior.

On the USC practice fields he displayed great footwork and coverage skills. The coaches set it up at the camp where they would run first, second, and third string units and the Trojan coaches had Sheppard running first team defense at corner. He feels he did well at the camp, but was slowed a bit.

"I was running on a slightly sprained ankle so I ran a 4.7 40 and jumped 31.2 inches in the vertical. I can do better than that."

Craig says he is being recruited as a running back and defensive back, but he is more partial to the offensive backfield where the Badgers like him.

He does not plan on attending anymore camps this summer.
