A Second Look: Arizona/Oregon

Arizona lost its second lopsided game in a row. Things may look bleak, but this is not the worst string of games the Cats have ever played. Not that any Wildcat fan wants to dwell on the negatives, but several interesting streaks continue for the Cats vs. the Ducks.

IT COULD BE WORSE
These aren't the worst back to back home losses in school history. The 1949 the Wildcats lost back-to-back home games to Michigan State and Kansas 75-0 and 46-0.

NOT SO SUPERSTATION
Arizona has been outscored 109-23 in two games on TBS.

STREAKS
Arizona has now lost 12 straight home conference games…Oregon has won five straight against the Wildcats and nine of the last 10 in the series…Oregon snaps a three-game conference losing streak.

PLAYER OF THE GAME
True freshman Syndric Steptoe returned four kickoffs for 99 yards, including one for 41 yards. He also had one carry for three yards. Biren Ealy had seven catches for 90 yards, including a 53-yard touchdown.

PLAY OF THE GAME
Marcus Hollingsworth had a monster hit on a kickoff that jarred the ball lose. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, Oregon recovered.

NOTABLE QUOTABLES
"They (Arizona) have some good players all around. They have a good quarterback and running back. They just need to stay focused." -- Oregon's Demerius Williams.

"We need to play hard all game. We didn't go out with a lot of intensity. Some calls didn't go our way. We have to suck it up and play better." -- Biren Ealy
