2015 Gilbert (Ariz.) offensive tackle Steve Miller has worked to make sure that he stands out enough to garner scholarship offers from many West Coast schools.
"The schools that I'm looking at the hardest right now are BYU, Arizona State, Utah, Colorado and Washington," Miller said. "Every one of those places have good coaches with track records and think that I can come in and play immediately.
That is a huge thing for me. I want to be able to come in and contribute as quickly as possible."
Miller plans on visiting all the aforementioned schools this summer.
"Between going to camps and taking visits I'm going to be able to check out all these places and really get a good feel for the campus and stuff like that," Miller said.
Arizona is trying to gain traction in Miller's recruitment.
"I'm open to hearing more from Arizona," Miller said. "It's an in-state school and on top of that they seem to be getting better. I'm sure when I get up there for the team camp I will talk with some coaches."
If things go according to plan, Miller will make his college decision sometime this summer.
"That is why I'm going to all these team camps and taking visits early," Miller said. "I like the choice of schools I have and how I've been recruited and it will be good to be around the coaches and players in football and non football related activities.
"I should have enough information to make an educated decision before school starts."
