Naijiel Hale talks USC Junior Day

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive back Naijel Hale has quietly established himself as one of the best lockdown cover corners in the state. The athlete attended USC's Junior Day over the weekend.

Naijiel Hale has created a lot of buzz over the last few months and is easily among the best corners in the region. He plays with a lot of swagger but can back it up and few corners play as tough or physical as Hale.

"USC Junior Day was cool," Hale said. "I had to leave a little early but still really enjoyed myself and the coaches sound very interested. I think they could actually be close to offering me right now. I talked to Dion Bailey (USC LB) and he told me they're going to offer so that would be great.

"I talked with Coach Pendergast a lot and he told me he loves the way I tackle. We exchanged info and we'll be in touch for sure. I loved the facilities and how high quality everything in there was. I also like the academics, the coaches pushed that hard and said academics come first at USC."

Hale is currently sitting at five scholarships and counting with Washington State being the most recent joining earlier offers from Arizona, Boise State, California and Nebraska.
