Aaron selects Louisville

Shaqquan Aaron

There have been rumblings the past few weeks that Louisville was the team to beat for Shaqquan Aaron. On Saturday those rumblings turned into a verbal pledge.

Shaqquan Aaron made an early college decision.

The Seattle (Wash.) Rainer Beach standout picked Louisville on Saturday, just a week after taking a visit to their campus.

Louisville has a strong relationship with the Rainer Beach program and the surrounding area. Former Cardinal Terrence Williams played at Rainer Beach and current Cardinal Peyton Siva is from the Seattle area.

Aaron has a reputation of a scorer. He can put up points and does so in a hurry. At 6-foot-8, Aaron has good size for the wing spot and is a high level shooter with deep range on his jump shot.

Aaron is ranked the No. 11 small forward and the No. 34 overall prospect in the 2014 class.

With this pledge, Louisville now has a pair of commitments in their 2014 class. Aaron joins five-star lead guard Quentin Snider to make up their current class.
