Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain junior Mark Andrews gets 16th offer

FoxSportsNext has confirmed that Scottsdale (Az.) Desert Mountain 2014 wide receiver Mark Andrews has received a new FBS scholarship offer, his 16th.

Desert Mountain head coach Tony Tabor says, "Notre Dame came by the school and offered Mark today. I am very excited for mark, this is a huge offer and it couldn't go to a better kid."

The four-star prospect also has been early offered by Colorado, Virginia, Boise State, Oklahoma, Washington State, North Carolina, Utah, Ohio State, Nebraska, UCLA, Michigan, Arizona State, Oregon State and Arizona.

Tabor continues about Mark, "Mark is a great kid. He has a 3.2 GPA and Coach Elliott was really impressed with him on film. They watched our game versus Chaparral and think Mark can be a big time player for them. Coach said he is exactly what they are looking for, a hard working kid that they can get the most out of. They want to try and get him up for an unofficial visit this Spring. I talked to Mark and he is very excited about the offer."

Andrews (6-5 220) had an outstanding sophomore year, earning all-state honors. He caught 58 passes for 1,058 yards and 10 TDs. He improved on those numbers in 2012, catching 81 passes for 1,494 yards and 21 TDs. Desert Mountain finished 9-3.
