Harmon was impressive at NUC events this spring. The Yellow Jackets have outscored their last two opponents, 76-0. North Webster has one of the state's best backs, too, and he's only a freshman: 6-3, 200-pound Devin White. Last week, White went for 224 yards rushing with two TDs. He accounted for a pair of two-point conversions last week, while Derrick Banks and Leondre Williams each scored touchdowns. Homer hopes to expand on a five-game winning streak that has seen the Pelicans score a minimum of 36 points in each game. Riverside rallied from an 0-4 start and has won its last two. He'll be facing a Winnfield defense that has four shutouts to its credit. Winnfield defensive end Michael Patterson, a three-star prospect, is committed to LSU. NO. 20 NORTHLAKE CHRISTIAN (5-4) AT NO. 13 WELSH (8-2) Northlake Christian QB Josh O'Rear has thrown for almost 1,300 yards with 12 touchdowns. O'Rear completed 12-of-21 for 181 yards in a district loss to No. 4 Springfield. Stefon McElveen and Riley DiMaggio are two of O'Rear's favorite targets. The Cubs have a star-studded roster headed up by four-star defensive end Tim Williams, four-star offensive lineman Garrett Brumfield and sophomore sensation Nicholas Brossette. NO. 19 VILLE PLATTE (7-3) AT NO. 14 LOREAUVILLE (8-2) Jermaine Antoine and the Loreauville Tigers are looking for payback after losing to Ville Platte in district two years ago. Antoine (pictured below) has rushed for over 1,000 yards with more than 500 receiving yards. WR Rhashid Bonnette, a sophomore, teams up with older brother Raymond (2014 QB) to form a prolific tandem in the vertical passing game. RB Spencer Mitchell, DB Austin Antoine, WR John Reed and TE Charles Francois are additional Loreauville standouts. NO. 22 STERLINGTON (5-5) AT NO. 11 ST. THOMAS AQUINAS (5-4) Hammond-based St. Thomas Aquinas deserves major props after losing two senior running backs to transfer (Loranger). STA came close to pulling off an upset of No. 4 Springfield last week. Sterlington appears to be on the path to re-establishing itself as a formidable 2A program. The Panthers were an elite program half a dozen years ago with players like WR Ahmad Paige. Three current Sterlington players have racked up 600-plus yards rushing. The Panthers began the year 0-4, then won five straight before dropping last week's game to Homer...

NO. 27 NEWMAN (5-4) AT NO. 6 CALVARY BAPTIST (7-3) Calvary can beat anyone when the Cavaliers are playing good football, as evidenced by a win over defending 5A champ West Monroe. The Cavs have been inconsistent at times, however (week nine loss to Mansfield where CBA only managed to put seven points on the board). QB Daniel Fitzwater has thrown for 29 TDs with only six picks. Three of those interceptions came against Mansfield. Newman QB Jabiari Tyler is close to breaking a couple of school records set by Peyton Manning...CBA, 50-22
NO. 26 MANSFIELD (5-5) AT NO. 7 CATHOLIC-NEW IBERIA (7-2) Catholic QB Joe Lissard (2,376 yards, 26 TDs) is having a fantastic senior season. He has two terrific receivers in Gabe Fuselier and Andre Bellefontaine. Catholic faces an obstacle after losing defensive stalwart Joe Dworaczyk to injury. The Rosepine defense held Hargrave to only 38 yards, his second-lowest output of the season, and the unit has shutout three of its last four foes...Rosepine, 21-16
