Jefferson visiting Arizona

Jefferson visiting Arizona

Rondae Jefferson is currently on an official visit to Arizona. Read on for a closer look at the specifics.

With only two weeks since Rondae Jefferson left Tucson after an unofficial visit, news came out earlier this week that Jefferson will be returning to Arizona this weekend for his first, and currently only, scheduled official visit.

Jefferson was on Arizona's campus on August 21st before heading to Los Angeles to participate in the Under Armour Elite 24 on Venice Beach. All reports say that the visit was a success and that the Wildcats put themselves in a good position.

As of now, Jefferson has not set up any other official visits, which is obviously significant for Arizona.

Originally, Jefferson wanted to decide by his birthday on January 3, but a decision this month or next now seems likely.

With Arizona losing both Solomon Hill and Kevin Parrom to graduation, the need for an additional wing is on the top of the list for the Wildcats in the recruiting class of 2013.

You can bet that Arizona will be trying to land a commitment from the five-star prospect on the visit or soon after. Getting a pledge from Jefferson will prove that Arizona still has the momentum in recruiting.

Jefferson goes along with Arizona's up-tempo style of play. Often times playing the point, Jefferson has great ball skills, is a great athlete and an all-around good teammate.

The 6-foot-6, 185-pound small forward from Chester (Penn.) continues to see his stock rise as he is now ranked as the 10th best prospect in the country according to and the third best small forward.

Jefferson currently holds offers from Florida, Memphis, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Texas and Arizona. He has visited Arizona, Rutgers, Syracuse, and Temple unofficially. Recommended Stories
