Gross has known for a while

Offensive lineman T.D. Gross has known that he wanted to be a Wildcats since the summer. Read on to find out why that is the case, his role as a Wildcat, and more.

T.D. Gross has been committed to Arizona since June and on Wednesday he is rewarded for sticking with UA through a coaching transition and a less than stellar season.

"I'm really excited to be signing, I've been thinking about it since I committed in the summer," Gross said. "I'm excited to finally finalize that that's where I'm going to go.

"This is just the first part of what I've worked toward and it just gets everything rolling in the direction I've worked so hard to get it to go in."

For the country's 103rd ranked offensive tackle, it was a summer trip to Tucson that sealed the deal and led him to commit to the Wildcats.

"I knew I wanted to go to Arizona probably during the summer," Gross said. "The last camp I went to was the Arizona camp. They offered me right after the camp and right then I knew.

"What really stood out was just the overall support from Tucson especially. It's a college town and it's a football school."

The three-star prospect has really bonded well with his new head coach Rich Rodriguez and his position coach Robert Anae, who he's come to respect and admire during the process of getting to know them.

"I have a good relationship with both coaches," Gross said. "They're both guys that I can go to and talk to about anything; school, football, or life in general."

Since he's been committed to Arizon for so long, Gross has had plenty of times to come up with his goals for both himself and the team as a whole.

"I want to play in as many Rose Bowls as I can and also get my degree," Gross said. "I want us to get back into the full picture of college football; the top 25 and the bowl games. I don't really think it's putting us back on the map as much as it is taking us to a higher level than where they've been before."
