Cats land first football commitment

When it comes to recruiting brothers, the Wildcat football team has had mixed success. Although the Hunely's, Lovett's and Scott's, among others, all decided to attend the UA, the Cats have not had as much success recently. In the past few years the Cats have missed out on Lawrence Jackson, Matt Leonard and Cornell Canidate, all of whom had older brothers play at Arizona. The Cats look to change that trend and have received a verbal commitment from the brother of a current Wildcat.

Travis Bell, the brother of Arizona offensive lineman Tanner Bell, has told the Wildcat coaches that he will play football at Arizona. Bell is a 6-7, 215-pound tight end at North Monterey County High School.
