Moore headed to Arizona

Arizona's recruiting momentum continues with offensive lineman Steven Moore. Why Arizona? Why did he decide to end it now? Read on for more.

Arizona's run at offensive lineman continued on Thursday, as Arizona received a verbal commitment from 6-foot-7, 265-pound Elk Grove (Calif.) offensive lineman Steven Moore.

Moore developed a solid relationship with the UA coaching staff and, in the end, it was too much for other schools to overcome.

"I committed to Arizona because of my relationship with Coach (Robert) Anae," Moore said. "I liked working with him at camp."

Moore has already seen the campus, as he was one of the more notable names at Arizona's recent big man camp.

"When I went to the big man camp, I liked it a lot," Moore said. "I got to see the campus and get a tour and everything was great."

In addition, Moore was impressed with the program as a whole and is confident in its future.

"I liked where the program is headed," he said. "I took a look at everything and talked to the coaches and I want to be a part of it."

While Moore was in no rush to commit, seeing other schools helped him pick Arizona in the end.

"Once I visited other schools and saw that everybody that was talking to me had already offered, I knew I liked Arizona," Moore said. "Arizona compared well to the other schools, so I figured I would pull the trigger."

Moore will be playing left tackle at Arizona and while he says the plan is to redshirt, Moore is still an athletic lineman.

"The plan is for me to play left tackle and redshirt," he said. "For those who have not seen me, I would say I am more of a leaner, more athletic lineman that can move around more."
