Reinhardt looking at options

Santa Monica (Calif.) guard Katin Reinhardt has heard from plenty of schools since opening up his recruitment. Where does Arizona stand now that it has offered? When will he decide?

Not long after de-committing from USC, Katin Reinhardt's recruitment began to heat up. Schools all over the country got re-involved with the Santa Monica (Calif.) Mater Dei shooting guard, including Book Richardson and Arizona.

Although they haven't been in contact for very long, Reinhardt and Richardson are quickly developing a relationship.

"I actually have a really good relationship with Book," Reinhardt said. "I've talked to him since I de-committed and he seems like a good guy. He's called me a few times and I've called him and we're just getting to know each other.

"He's a cool guy, he doesn't just ask about basketball. He asks about life, the classroom, and make sure everything is right outside of basketball."

Sean Miller has also reached out to Reinhardt, and UA's head coach has made his intentions with Reinhardt clear from the get go.

"Coach Miller is a really cool guy," Reinhardt said. "I had a chance to talk with him a few times. He really wants me to go there and I'm looking forward to building a relationship with him."

Even though he was committed to USC, Reinhardt still watched Arizona play, primarily to keep tabs on current UA players that he matched up with in the past.

"I watched Arizona a lot last year to see people that I have played against, like Jordin Mayes," Reinhardt said. "I really like their style of play."

UA may be one of the schools that Reinhardt is most interested in, but it certainly isn't without company from some other top programs around the country.

"I don't really have a favorite, it's wide open," Reinhardt said. "I like Arizona a lot, but I also like Syracuse and Florida. I don't really have a favorite though."

While the 6-foot-5, 170-pound, four-star prospect will likely take a handful of trips before making a decision, it's likely that Arizona will be one of the first schools that he visits officially.

"I don't have any visits planned yet, but I talked to Arizona about coming out there for the first official visit I can take," Reinhardt said. "And if I'm ever out anywhere near some schools that I like, then I'll stop by."

Since he recently re-opened his recruitment, one would assume that Reinhardt would take his time and not make a decision for some time. However, he does not expect that to be the case.

"I'm not sure when I'll make a decision," Reinhardt said. "I'll probably decide towards the fall."
