After taking his time and going through his options, Derrick Williams has decided to go to the NBA.

After having one of the better seasons in Arizona history, Derrick Williams has decided to enter the NBA.

The 6-foot-8 forward waited numerous weeks to make a decision and played the process close to the vest throughout, never truly giving an indication where he was leaning.

In a normal year, Williams would likely have been gone right away. However, the looming lockout made the process a little less simple and Williams went through his options before finally deciding on Wednesday.

Williams was a first-team All-America selection by Sports Illustrated and the John R. Wooden Award, and a second-team pick by the Associated Press, amongst other accolades.

In two season at Arizona, Williams averaged 17.8 points and 7.7 rebounds.

In addition, he will finish with the fourth highest field goal percentage in school history and will now have a chance to be the highest Wildcat ever drafted.
